May - Paris In Vitro

I have so much things to do right now...
But I couldn't help and this character was waiting for very long her turn to be draw.
(and the background was really one of my fastest done XD)

So this is May, or Marie-Eve Alwyn, even if it's probably not her true name.
She's a cat pookah, from the "chartreux" kind, it means that the pic shows her realistic colors, she's totally grey, a sweet velvety grey with gold/orange eyes.
She met Doyle at the Agency in the most perfect Film Noir atmosphere. The Investigator desk, the darkness of the night, the light from the window, the smoke of the cigarette, (important to precise here that Doyle a-do-res all the retro style and his room at the agence already looks like the 50s cliché one )

She’s also stuck into the “retro” style just as Doyle and she made him do some fault in his job. (If the Agency boss would learn this… He would be fired)
She came at the agency as the victim; a giant diamond collar has been stolen from her. Doyle made his best to get back the jewel and succed. He came at the piano-bar café where May was singing to give her the collar back. They dansed all night and she disappeared in the morning. Back at the Agency Doyle learnt that the collar was still missing and that he just got back the diamond to offer it…

May is of course inspired by the Blacksad Comics and the Lackadaisy wonderful webcomic from
But most of all, she's inspired by the character of Kitty Collins, in the Killers (1946), played by Ava Gardner
